JROTC - TECH
CYBER THREAT ACADEMY
About Us
The demand for cybersecurity experts is growing 12 times faster than the current U.S. job market, making cybersecurity one of the most highly sought-after careers in the country.
It goes without saying, that ROTC and Junior ROTC programs build excellent foundations for military service. Adding a robust technology frame-work to a proven program just makes sense. Junior ROTC-TECH is a pilot program that will add cutting edge cyber security training to Junior ROTC programs.
The Need
Our nation faces a rising number of cyberspace based attacks and threats. Since 2015, we have encountered more than 77,000 cyber incidents. The average cost of a cyber breach for U.S. companies is $200,000 per incident.
The impact of cyber incidents is not limited to victimized companies; employees and customers can experience distressing aftermaths such as identity theft and personal data loss. Cybercrime categorically ranks with drug trafficking as a worldwide economic danger.
